Dr. Ballard is a 2007 graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, where he learned to love both the technical and the interpersonal aspects of dental practice. After graduation, Dr. Ballard was fortunate to be one of only two students admitted to an Oral and Maxillofacial residency. In residency Dr. Ballard as part of the team of doctors and dentists charged with facial reconstruction of soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Dr. Ballard took an interest in the restorative aspects of dentistry and left residency to pursue mentorship from a renowned prosthodontist in South Korea. After two years of restorative practice, Dr. Ballard returned to the United States and now maintains a private restorative and implant clinic in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Ballard has lectured on the use of biocomposite resins both nationally and internationally. Dr. Ballard also holds special interest in applying emerging technologies to change and improve the way dentistry practiced and perceived.
